ASMU / Tuition Fee Waiver Program
Astrakhan State Medical University (ASMU) offers a special Tuition Fee Waiver Program for deserving international students who wish to study medicine in Russia. This program is designed to support talented students financially, covering tuition and accommodation fees, while certain administrative costs remain the responsibility of the student.
Under this program, ASMU fully waives:
Tuition Fees – Complete waiver for the medical program (MBBS/MD).
Accommodation Fees – Free hostel facilities for the first year.
This allows students to focus entirely on their studies without the burden of tuition or housing expenses.
Some expenses are considered administrative or personal, and are not covered under the waiver:

The Tuition Fee Waiver Program also offers a monthly stipend to reward academic excellence, but there are specific rules:
First Year Students:
No monthly stipend is provided during the first year.
Students must successfully complete the first year and demonstrate approved academic performance.
From Second Year Onwards:
Eligible students may receive a monthly stipend, based on academic results and university evaluation.
The stipend amount is determined by ASMU and can help cover living expenses and personal needs.
This system encourages students to maintain strong academic performance and ensures fairness in awarding financial support.
After completing the first year, students can apply for the monthly stipend, subject to performance evaluation.
